Sweert(s), Blumenhändler u. Direktor der Gärten Kaiser Rudolf II., starb 1612. "The plates, depicting some 560 plants and flowers, are mostly copied from the de Bry florilegium itself largely based on that by Vallet. The work is notable for the many fine plates of bulbous varieties, particularly tulips and its popularity led to five subsequent editions" (de Belder). - Teilw. etwas braunrandig im oberen Rand, wenige kl.
