Hain 3567; GW 4818; BMC II, 345; Goff B 960. - Zweite Ausgabe, erstmals im Februar 1476 ebenfalls von Sorg gedruckt. Zählt zu den frühen Drucken des seit 1475 in Augsburg tätigen Sorg, in seiner von der Klosterdruckerei S. Ulrich & S. Afra übernommenen und bis 1477 verwendeten großen Type gesetzt. Textbeginn von einer der für ihn typischen Maiblumen-Initialen über 10 Zeilen (ca. 50:55 mm) in doppeltem Rahmen geziert. Als Autor dieses unter dem vielfach verwendeten Pseudonym Bonaventura publizierten Werkes wird Konrad Holzinger von Sachsen identifiziert. Konrad Holzinger, gestorben 1279 in Bologna, war Lektor zu Hildesheim und Provinzial der Saxonia, seine mystische Exegetik hat mutmaßlich Dantes Schilderung des Purgatoriums beeinflußt (vgl. NDB XII, 549). - Etwas gebräunt u. stockfl., wenige alte Anm., 1. Bl. mit kl. restaur. Randeinriß u. kl. hinterl. Wurmspur im oberen weißen Rand, ein weiteres Bl. mit Eckabriß. Breitrandig. Second edition, first printed by Sorg in February 1476. With large woodcut Maiblumen initial and some outline capitals; rubricated throughout. One of Sorg's early works, printed in his first type most probably handed down to him by the monastery of S. Ulrich & S. Afra and used until 1477. Leaf 7r, line 2 in uncorrected state as per BMC (IB.5813), reading: '...cico considera carissime'. Holzinger's exegetic works are said to have influenced Dante's "Purgatorio". - Lacking the initial blank, some browning and foxing, few old annotations, one corner torn away, small marginal restored tear and minor marginal worming to title.
