Shirley 582 Anm.; Koeman Dan 4/Nr. 2. - Leicht gebräunt u. fleckig, w. Ränder seitl. u. unten stärker. Im linken Bildrand mit vertikaler Schnittstelle, 2 kl. Randeinrisse u. angesetzte Unterecke hinterklebt, oben links weißer Rand beschnitten mit kl. Einriß.

Scarce map "on the equidistant azimuthal projection centered on the north pole" (Sh.), devised by Andreas van Luchtenburg, and publ. first separately by Jacob Robyn in 1696. Already around 1700, the plates were obtained by the Danckerts family, who publ. them under Cornelis name, just omitting R.'s name. - Contemp. col. Light browning and spotting, stronger to margins. Repaired left border: vertical cut, 2 small tears, lower corner added, upper corner trimmed and with small tear.
