"Etwa 250 Ortsbezeichnungen enthaltend übertraf diese Karte an Informationswert alle Vorgänger" (H.). "Lange Zeit wurde die Karte Vedel (= Widmung von Andreas Velleius) zugeschrieben... Wir wissen aber heute, daß die Karte auf Zeichnungen von Gudbrandur Thorlakson beruht" (D.-E.). - Weiße Ränder leicht gebräunt bzw. fleckig; 2 Einrisse hinterlegt, davon einer oben am Bug bis in den Bildrand.

From one of the 3 scarce Spanish ed. 1609-41. - Col. Light browning and spotting in places to white margins. 2 repaired tears, one affecting image at upper centerfold.
