Von Kirchers Schüler Johann Stephan Kestler besorgte "codification of Kircher's observations and experiments acrosss the entire spectrum of his researches in physics" (Merrill). Titel etwas angestaubt, Titel mit gelöschtem Stempel.
First edition, with engr. title and 10 engravings in the text. "Includes the first recorded experiment in hypnotism in animals" (GM). - Slight spotting and thumbing in places, somewhat heavier to last leaves, some duststaining to engr. title, deleted stamp to title. Bound in contemp. calf, spine gilt, somewhat rubbed, corners bumped, lower spine restored.
