I. VD 16, M 6561; Zinner, Lit. 3162 u. Regiomontanus 342, 124; Houzeau-L. 2257 & 2496; nicht bei Adams u. Roller-G. Honeyman-Coll. 2611). "Reinhold was, after Copernicus, the leading mathematical astronomer of the 16th century; and in computional ability he surpassed Copernicus himself... the 'Prutenic Tables', named after both Copernicus and his patron (Albrecht of Prussia) rapidly became the most widely adopted astronomical tables. The success of Reinhold's 'Prutenic Tables' enhanced Copernicus' reputation" (DSB XI, 365 f.).
2 works in 1 volume. The most widespread tables of pre- and postcopernican astronomy combined or possibly printed together in one volume (like the Honeyman copy). Regiomontanus here for the first time supplemented by Reinhold, the supplement being issued only once before (in 1554). Fourth edition of Reinhold's main work named after Albrecht of Prussia and Copernicus, with 3 folding tables. - Some browning throughout. I. Title small portion of upper blank margin cut away, old corner restorations to leaf 45-46. Early 17th century vellum (dated 1605) toooled in blind, somewhat rubbed and stained.
