Eine von 2 Varianten, vorliegend mit Pernas Namen auf dem Titel. "This book consists of three parts. The first contains the First Edition of Ventura's 'De Ratione conficiendi'... The second part has already appeared in 1560 and is only very slightly changed in this edition; it contains the writings of John Garland or Hortulanus (= Compendium Alchimiae, sive in Tab. Smaragdinam Hermetis Trismegisti Commentarii). The third part consists of articles taken from the 'Speculum majus' of Vicentinus Bellovacensis" (Duveen). - Meist stärker gebräunt oder braunfleckig, Ränder stellenw. wasserfl. und mit Wurmspuren, teilw. bis in den Textrand und vereinzelt hinterlegt. Einige alte Unterstreichungen und Marginalien. Titel mit unleserlichem Bibl.-Stempel und Randläsuren.
Three parts in 1 vol., 1 of 2 variants, our copy with Perna mentioned on title. - Browned and spotted throughout, marginal dampstaining and worming in places (partly affecting text, occasionally repaired). Early annotations and underlinings. Library stamp and marginal fraying to title. Contemporary limp vellum, edges gauffered, title inked to spine; rather chipped, soiled, and a little wormed, tear to upper joint, lacking ties.
