Shirley 517. - Sehr seltene Karte im 2. und letzten Zustand mit Druckprivileg und Allards Namen im Unterrand. - Gereinigt und stabilisiert, tlw. noch leicht fleckig. Bugeinriss unten bis ins Bild sowie einige kleinere Randeinrisse hinterlegt; je 1 kl. Eckausriss unten ergänzt, ferner einige schwache vertikale Knickfalten.

Scarce. "Carel Allard did not publish an atlas until 1696. One or two earlier maps of his were issued separately, including this general map with the same popular border scenes as used by De Wit for his terrestrial world map of c. 1670" (Sh.). Our copy in its second and final state, publ. after 1683: with privilege and Allard's name added at lower right. - Col. in full. Cleaned and sized, still light spotting in places. Reapairs to split at lower centerfold and to smaller marginal tears affecting image; reinstatement of lower corners, furthermore some slight vertical folds.
