Aachen, Nijmegen im Zentrum. - Gebräunt, fleckig u. angestaubt, Ränder stärker u. tlw. mit kl. Läsuren, außen schmal hinterklebt.

Scarce map in its third and last state by Forlani-Camocio (with date and both addresses), copied first in 1556 by Jacobus Bossius and Michele Tramezini after the Gelderland-Cleves map of 1542 by Jacob van Deventer, the "father of Dutch cartography". He made a set of maps of the five provinces of the Northern Netherlands, of which no copies are known. The first reproductions were made in Antwerp 1556-1560, followed by the adaptions publ. by Tramezini, whose series in turn was later copied by Forlani (s. M.). - Col. in full. Browning, spotting and somewhat dusty, stronger to margins, some small marginal tears rep., and margins reinforced.
