With 1 frontispiece, numerous illustrations on 15 plates and 1 folding map. First edition. - "Record of the author's travel and hunting in 1899, with E. L. Phelps. The route taken includes Leh, Yarkand, Aksu, Shatta, Kuldja, Khotan, and etc." (Y.). - Some browning, slight foxing in places; textblock shaken.
