First edition. Hodges was a landscape painter, the plates were created according to his models. He accompanied Cook on his second journey. The map shows a part of Bengal and Bahar. - Slight browning; partly foxed, mainly the plates; paper restoration to lower corner of k2. Bound in contemporary full-calf, gilt, rubbed and bumped, spine renewed. Recent slipcase.
