Mit 2 Grundrissen mit Umgebung und Gesamtansicht von Candia sowie Karte der Insel mit Seegefechten und reicher figürlicher Staffage (nach od. von S. Scolari; Zacharakis/S. 3296). - Etwas gebräunt bzw. fleckig. 1 Grundriss u. Karte leicht angeschnitten u. mit kl. Fehlstellen mittig (verursacht durch Ein- bzw. Durchriss der alten Faltung) aufgezogen, der 2. Grundriss mittig mit breit hinterlegtem Riss. Kupfertitel u. Ansicht im Bund etwas eng eingebunden, ersterer unten auch knapp bzw. rechts bis an die Einfassung beschnitten. 2 Taf. oben im Bild mit Buntstift nummeriert.

Second German edition, the first separately printed and the first to include the anonymous letter from an officer of the Comte de St. Pol. With 3 (of 6) folding engraved plates and 1 (of 2) folding engr. maps. "Contains a long continuation giving a yearly account of the struggle in Crete from 1646 to 1666 and a monthly report on the final phases of the siege in 1667-8. The second part consists of a curious letter which we have been unable to trace" (B.). - Somewhat browned and stained. 1 plate and map slightly shaved and mounted (with small losses at center), 1 plate with long repaired tear at center. Engr. title and view of Candia bound in somewhat tight. Engr. title cut close at bottom. 2 plates with ms. numbering at top of image. Bound in 18th century calf, spine gilt, slightly rubbed and spotted.
