Veränderungen gegenüber den Erstausgaben, vorliegend wohl in der letzten bei Crepy. - Meist etwas gebräunt u. fleckig sowie angestaubt; die zahlreichen Falt- u. Knickstellen tlw. eingerissen u. verstärkt sowie einige Randeinrisse u. Bruchstellen rep., vereinzelt kl. Fehlstellen; jeweils an den Außenecken mit Klebeaufhänger versehen; gerollt.

Rare and richly decorated wall maps by Nolin in the (last?) edition published by Crepy; first issued in ca. 1700 resp. 1720. Our copies printed from the new plates, which were reworked with cartographical innovations. The maps itself are printed from 4 plates each; the borders consist of medallions and vignettes with scenes from biblical history resp. depicting various stages in the history of each continent with descriptive texts etc. The hemispheres of the world map supported by four monumental figures representing the seasons, and further illustrations of the days of the Creation. - Printed from several plates and joined; col. Some browning, spotting and somewhat dusty, some waterstains in places; repairs to several tears, splits and cracks at former foldings and to flaws, small occasional losses of image; picture hangers at each corner; rolled up.
