He advised Protestant governments to reject the Gregorian calendar.... All of his books... appeared on the Index of Pope Sixtus V in 1590" (DSB IX, 168). Maestlin (1550-1631), Professor in Tübingen seit 1584, war Lehrer und Freund von Johannnes Kepler, "...really responsible for the Copernicanism of Johannes Kepler, who attended Mästlin's classroom lectures at Tübingen" (DSB). - Etwas gebräunt, stellenw. mit blassen Anstreichungen, Titel mit Namenszug von Johannes Münderlin, dat. 1612, wohl der aus Ettmansdorf (zu Schwandorf geh.) stammende, 1628 verstorbene Pfarrer.
