Folgt in Text und Illustrationen der lateinischen Ausgabe Kobergers von 1500, Herausgeber beider Drucke war Florian Waldauff. "There are 17 full-page woodcuts freely adapted from the Lubeck edition (in Latin, 1492), some of which are made up of small blocks and with type introduced. These are reminiscent of Dürer's style, and have been assigned to him, but there seem to be no good reason for the attribution... the crucifixion is quite XV. century style, but not by Wolgemut. The remaining cuts are by a younger Nuremberg artist, influenced by Schongauer, and possibly by Dürer himself" (Murray p. 130, teilw. nach Dodgson). Meder weist lediglich den ersten der beiden Wappenholzschn. (mit den 5 Wappen Kaiser Maximilians) Dürer zu, für die Kreuzigung folgt er einer Zuschreibung an Lucas Cranach. Schoch-Mende weist alle Holzschnitte den angezweifelten Werken Dürers zu. - Teilw. gebräunt u. etwas fleckig bzw. fingerfleckig, teilw. geringe Braunflecken im Bund, vereinzelte Feuchtigkeitsränder, fast durchgehend einige kleine Wurmlöcher bzw. wenige Wurmspuren, letztere im weißen Rand teilw. hinterlegt. Z1 mit hinterlegtem Ausschnitt im weißen Rand, i3 mit ergänztem Eckabriss, 2 Bll. mit alten Anmerkungen im Rand. Letztes Bl. etwas angeschmutzt u. mit kleinen Hinterlegungen im Rand, Titel mit schmaler Hinterlegung im Rand. Titel verso Rundstempel der Universitätsbibliothek Landshut, wo sich die Universität Ingolstadt von 1800 bis zu ihrer Verlegung nach München im Jahr 1826 befand. Auf dem 2. Bl. verso alter Münchner Dublettenstempel. Vorsatz mit Besitzvermerk des schwedischen Sammlers Per Hierta, datiert 1900.

First edition in high German. - Bridget's writings can be divided into two groups: those that preach an improvement of human life through divine instruction, and those that contain disturbing prophecies of divine chastisement. Both groups attained great popularity during the fifteenth and the early sixteenth centuries, and in particular the latter group contributed significantly to the ferment that led to the Reformation. - Partly browned and spotted, slight brownstaining in places. Some wormholes and few wormtraces, partly repaired. Marginal repair to Z1 and i3, old annotations to two leaves, small marginal repairs to title and last leaf. Old stamp to title verso and dublicate stamp to 2nd leaf verso. Ownership inscription of the Swedish collector Per Hierta on fly-leaf, dated 1900. Half vellum around 1900.
