Zustand (von 4) mit Druckprivileg und Graduierung. - Mit schwachem Plattenton u. stellenweise leicht fleckig. Grüntöne oxydiert, 1 kl. Koloritbruch mittig (bei Jamaica). Am Bug Quetschfalte u. kl. Löchlein unten in der Einfassung.

N. Visscher's II map of the West Indies in its third state (of 4) with privilege and grid lines added. "In terms both of accuracy and detail this map is exceptional. The outline of Florida is far better than on many later maps" (P./K.). "Politically, a distinction is made between New France or Canada, Virginia, French Florida, and Spanish Florida. Note that here the Appalachians form an east-west oriented mountain range" (E.). - Contemp. col. in full. Lightly toned. Some spotting in places, oxidation to green col., causing  small crack at center. Creasemark at centerfold, tiny hole at lower border.
