Globen. 12 Globus-Segmente auf 1 Blatt. Kupferstich von (V.) M. Coronelli, (1692/93). Mit kl. Lorbeerkartusche mit Widmung und kl. Wappen. 24:47 cm; mit einfacher Linieneinfassung.

Shirley 556; vgl. Zögner, Welt VII/5 mit Abb. (Ausgabe 1697). - Seltenes Set des kleinen Globus (15 cm Durchmesser), wohl bereits 1692 entstanden. - Stellenweise etwas fleckig.

The first set of gores in Coronelli's Corso Geografico, "representing a globe of 15 centimetres in diameter, is undated but is believed to have been engraved in 1692. The gores are reduced in all essentials from Coronelli's much larger globe gores of 1688" (Sh.). With the tracks of A. Chaumont and Le Maire. - Uncol. Some spotting in places.
