Eckabrissen, der Titel aufgezogen, stärker gebräunt und fleckig sowie mit 2 Tintenkrizeleien; fehlt das Schlussblatt mit Druckermarke.

Third edition, the first Aldine ed., corrected by the author and dedicated to Jean Grolier. In the dedication Grolier is warmly thanked for his generosity. "Budé was the most influential of the French humanistic scholars at the beginning of the sixteenth century. He made his mark with a treatise on ancient coinage and measures, which was the major authority for years to come" (PMM 60). - Wide margined copy, occasional spotting, some waterstaining in places, small tear-off a corners of title and 2nd leaf, title strengthened; heavier browning, some spotting and 2 small ink scribbles to title page; lacking last leaf with printer's device. Somewhat later limp vellum with ms. title to spine.
