Seltene Wandkarte. Die Karte Jaillots, um 1700 entstanden, basiert auf der bereits 1608 (!) erstmals hrsg. vierblättrigen Wandkarte von W. Blaeu (vgl. hierzu Schilder, MCN IV, S. 53 u. Pastoureau, S. 233). - Stark gebräunt, braun- u. tlw. auch wasserfleckig sowie angestaubt. Mit zahlreichen kl. rep. Bruchstellen, Einrissen u. Löchern. Auf Lwd. aufgezogen u. auf Holzleisten montiert; gerollt.

Rare wall map. Originally published by Jaillot and based on Blaeu's map of 1608. "Blaeu's set of wall maps of the continents appeared to be very popular, as copies were also published in France at Alexis Hubert Jaillot's in Paris" (Schilder, p. 53). - 6 sheets, joined; col. in outline. Severe browning, spotting and some waterstaining. Several repaired small cracks and tears. Mounted on linen and rollers.
