Sammelatlas mit Karten hauptsächlich von H. Jaillot (24) und Sanson (11, davon 8 in der Ausgabe bei Jaillot u. 2 bei Mariette), ferner Karten von G. Delisle (2), N. de Fer u. J. B. Nolin (je 1) sowie P. Placide de Sainte Helène (4), 1 Karte ohne Namensnennung; 1 Karte datiert 1654, alle anderen mit Dat. zwischen 1699-1712. Enthält Gesamtkarte von Asien (defekt), die seltene Karte der arabischen Halbinsel von Sanson-Mariette (Al Ankary S. 196, Tibbetts 98), Persien, Südostasien sowie Ostafrika von G. Delisle, ferner europäische Länder- und Gebietskarten, darunter Deutschland inkl. Böhmen und Österreich (10), Frankreich (16), Italien (10, darunter 4 Bll. des insgesamt fünfblättr. Polaufs von Placide de Sainte Helène), Schweiz (2) und Ungarn (1). - Etwas gebräunt, fleckig u. Ränder teils wasserfl. (vereinzelt bis in das Kartenbild), hier u. da vor allem am Bug etwas geknittert, einige Randläsuren streckenw. Wurmspuren meist im w. Unterrand (bei wenigen Ktn. im Bild). Die ersten beiden Ktn. lose, Asien stark geknittert, mit Plattenrandbrüchen sowie Löchlein u. Einrissen, die oben eingefalt. Kte. von Südostasien mit Faltstelleneinriss, Westfälischer Kr. stark tintenfleckig, Gesamtkte. von Italien am Bug geplatzt u. geknittert, die 4 Bll. Polauf bis an die Einfassung beschnitten u. montiert, Milano unten bis an die Einfassung beschnitten, Ungarn mittig stärker geknittert u. in der rechten Unterecke Loch bis in die Einfassung.

Private collection of 44 double-page engraved maps coloured in outline, mainly by H. Jaillot (24) and Sanson (11, 8 of which in the Jaillot edition and 2 by Mariette), and some other French cartographers. Included are maps of Asia (defective) and the rare map of the Arabian Peninsula by Sanson-Mariette, maps of Southeast Asia and East Africa by G. Delisle, and maps of European countries and territories (mainly France, Germany, and Italy). - Somewhat browned, stained and partly with mainly marginal waterstaining, partly creasing at centerfolds, marginal tears or wormholes (a few affecting image). The first 2 maps detached, map of Asia severely creased, and with cracks to platemarks, holes and tears; folded map of Southeast Asia with tear to folding, 1 map heavily ink-stained, map of Italy with split and creasing to centerfold, the 4 (of 5) maps of the Po course trimmed and mounted, Milano cut close at bottom, Hungary creased and with hole up to the border. Bound in contemporary calf, worn, chipped off, and defective.
