Enthält Seekarten des Ärmelkanals, des nördlichen Atlantiks, der Azoren, Kanarischen Inseln und Madeiragruppe sowie der Kapverden und Bermudainseln; ferner Übersichtskarte von Mittelamerika gefolgt von 16 Detailkarten (auch zum Zusammensetzen gedacht) sowie 17 Karten einzelner Inseln und Inselgruppen. - Das Werk insgesamt sorgfältig gereinigt, stellenweise noch gering fleckig, Fälze erneuert; vereinzelt kl. hinterlegte Randeinrisse.
The scarce first edition of this important atlas of the West-Indies published posthumously by Sayer and Bennett as Jefferys had died in 1771. With 3 engr. vignettes, double-page engr. title and 39 (36 double-page) engraved charts; if joined 16 detail maps form a large general map of the West Indies. - Carefully cleaned, still minor spotting in places, guards renewed; a few marginal repairs. Bound in modern half morocco, spine gilt.
