"Situs partium praecipuarum totius orbis terrarum". Weltkarte im Oval, in den Ecken blasende Windgötter mit Wolkenornamentik. Kupferstich (aus A. Torniello, Annales sacri et profani, 1610). 19:37 cm.
Shirley 267: "Uncommon" (in seinem rarity index). - Selten. Erstmals 1609 erschienen, hier der 2. Zustand mit "Nova Guinea" und neugestochenen Windgöttern. - Mit leichtem Plattenton. Stellenweise leicht fleckig, Wasserfleck unten im weißen Rand.
Rare map from the second edition of Torniello's work with only few place names, first published in 1609, now with "Nova Guinea and more fully developed cloud designs and putti in the spandrels... a simplified version of that of Ortelius" (Sh.). - Uncol. Lightly toned; slight spotting in places, water stain at lower blank margin.
