Knapton, a.o. are showing the portraits of the kings of England from Egbert, King of Wessex to James II, King of England, Scotland and Ireland. In addition the portaits of Paul de Rapin de Thoyras and Nicholas Tindal (translator). The enclosed splendid mezzotint etchings of John Faber (1694-1756) are showing portraits of English and European rulers and sovereigns after Charles Philips (1708-1747) and others. Attached at the end a caricatural engraving. - Faint fingerstaining to white margins. Old owner's entry to title and endpapers. Closed tear to margin of 2 plates. Ms. labels with additional biographical information mounted to lower white margins of 7 mezzotint plates. Several partly repaired tears and some waterstaining to the portrait of William Draper.
