Zustand (von 2), noch ohne de Fers Adresse und ohne Dat. 1672; in südwestlicher Orientierung. - Leider in mäßiger Erhaltung: Fleckig, angestaubt u. wasserfleckig sowie etwas knittrig. Unten je 1 Bugausriss ergänzt u. Verluste nachgezeichnet (4:1,5 cm) bzw. Randeinriss rechts bis in die Wappenleiste rep.; einige Wurmstiche im Bild. Rundum bis an/in den Plattenrand beschnitten.

Rare map of the Maltese archipelago by Vouillemont in its first state (of 2) only with date 1662 and without N. de Fer's address. "With the arms of Grand Masters from Gerard to Nicholas Cotoner. Dedicated to Fr Jacques de Souvre, Grand Prior of France, with his coat-of-arms" (MoM). - Uncol. Regrettably in bad condition: overall spotting and with waterstains, also dusty and somewhat wrinkled. At bottom repairs to tear-out at centerfold (4:1,5 cm losses replaced in ms.), and to tear at right affecting image; some wormstitches to image. Cut to/into platemark.
