Die nach Zeichnungen des Verfassers gestochenen Tafeln zeigen meist Fechter in zeitgenössischer Militärkleidung. - Etwas gebräunt, Titel u. Frontispiz stärker, stellenw. gering stock- oder fingerfleckig u. mit schwachem bräunendem Abklatsch der Tafeln. Späteres Exlibris.
First edition. With engr. frontispiece and 19 (16 folding) engr. plates mostly depicting fencers in contemp. military attire. - Some browning, slight foxing or thumbing in places. Later naval bookplate. - Bound in rebacked half-calf, label to spine; somewhat rubbed and browned.
