Pflanzenkupfern. - Vorhanden Centurie 1-5 und zusätzliche 52 Tafeln aus Centurie 6. In Centurie 1-5 vorhanden die Zusatztafeln (oben mitgezählt) Taf. 269a u. 322, 341, 497, 498. Unter den vorhandenen Tafeln in Centurie 6: 522, 523, 533, 536, 539, 547 jeweils mit der b-Tafel wie gefordert. Vorliegend ohne die typographischen Bandtitel zur ersten Centurie mit Erscheinungsjahr 1750, vorhanden 2 Titel zur ersten Lieferung 1747: "Herbarium selectum (etc.)" und "außerlesenes Kräuter-Buch, oder (etc.)", Tafel 75 vorliegend in beiden Versionen ("was re-issued in a corrected version, and both may occur in subscriber's copies" [Stafleu-C.]) und oben mitgezählt. - Vereinzelt leicht gebräunt, meist etwas fleckig, selten stärker. Anfang u. Schluss beider Bde. leicht wurmstichig mit minimalem Buchstaben- u. Bildverlust, hier u. da kl. Randeinrisse oder -läsuren (tls. hinterlegt), stellenweise wasserrandig. Die Tafeln teils recto und verso mit handschriftlichen Notizen, Taf. 348 aus einem anderen Expl. lose beiliegend. Es fehlen in den vorliegenden 5 Centurien insgesamt 1 gest. Titel, 11 Tafeln u. 14 Textbll. Das vorhandene Fragment der 6. Centurie liegt ohne die zugehörigen 42 Textbll. u. Taf. 548-600 vor.

Eisenberger, and 52 (501–547b) hand-colored engr. plates from the 6th centuria. - Present: centurias 1–5 and an additional 52 plates from centuria 6. In centuries 1–5, the supplementary plates (included in the count above) 269a and 322, 341, 497, 498 are present. Among the present plates in centuryia 6: 522, 523, 533, 536, 539, 547 each with the "b" plate as called for. Lacking the typographical volume title pages for the first century dated 1750, present are 2 title pages for the first installment (1747): "Herbarium selectum (etc.)" and "außerlesenes Kräuter-Buch, oder (etc.)". Plate 75 is present in both versions ("was re-issued in a corrected version, and both may occur in subscriber's copies" [Stafleu-C.]) and is included in the count above. - Occasionally slightly browned, mostly somewhat spotted, rarely more heavily so, beginning and end of both volumes slightly wormed with minimal loss of letters and image; occasional small short tears or fraying at the margins (partly backed/repaired), waterstained in places, plates partly with manuscript notes to recto and verso, plate 348 loosely inserted from another copy. Lacking a total of 1 engraved title, 11 plates, and 14 text leaves in the present 5 centurias. The present fragment of the 6th centuria is lacking the corresponding 42 text leaves and plates 548–600. Expertly restored contemporary calf with stamped spine title; covers somewhat wormed and rubbed, endpapers with glue-shadowing to margins, early ownership entry and manuscript shelfmark.
