A National Treasure is saved! – The Sale of the Royal Garden Library is concluded

Finally the sale of the Royal Garden Library, formerly at Herrenhausen Castle, Hanover, is concluded. A consortium of the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library (Hanover), the Johann Christian Senckenberg Library (Frankfurt), and the Anna Amalia Library (Weimar) was able to realize this acquisition at an amount of 3.3 million Euros. The Library will be publicly available at these locations. We are glad to take part in the preservation of this national treasure.

The richly illustrated catalogue of the Royal Garden Library can still be ordered as reference work.
