In the heart of the Rhein-Main area, close to Frankfurt/Main, Mainz and Wiesbaden in the thickly wooded slopes of the ‘Taunus’, where Goethe already strolled around, you will find Koenigstein, hometown of Reiss & Sohn – Germany’s important specialized auction house of rare and valuable books, manuscripts and maps.
Reiss & Sohn is very well known to booklovers and collectors all over the world for excellent items, catalogues and a very familiar and at once professional atmosphere. The firm is holding twice a year auction sales of rare books, manuscripts, antique maps and views. The next one will be held on April 28th and 29th, 2015.
The staff of Reiss & Sohn is looking forward to be a part of the ILAB Pop Up Fairs across the world on April 23rd, 2015. They will ‘pop up’ in the auctionhouse together with two other colleagues from the area – Tresor am Römer, Buch- und Kunstantiquariat (Frankfurt) and C. Rinnelt, Antiquariat (Wiesbaden). Together we welcome you all who are interested in books, prints and manuscripts from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. While this happening you can browse through the diversified sales proposals of the three antiquarian bookshops, talk to like-minded people and of course you are most welcome to participate in the worldwide donation campaign for the UNESCO literacy projects in South Sudan.
