How Duerer Saw the World

Highlight from the November 10th to 12th Reiss & Sohn sale:
A fine example of the Albrecht Duerer-Johannes Stabius world map, printed in the midst of the 18th century within a portfolio by Adam von Bartsch after rediscovering the original 1515 woodblocks. No copies of the 16th century are known, and even the Bartsch collection is hardly found in libraries or offered in the trade. Valued € 90,000.
