Viewing
All lots can be viewed in our auction premises as per viewing plan indicated. At the same time we wish to draw your attention to the many images in the webcatalogue. Do not hesitate to ask for additional information. Pre-Viewing of lots via safe live-stream transmission upon request, limited time slots.
Prices
Prices printed in the catalogue are estimates in Euro expected to be realized and not definitive.
Buyer’s premium
The purchaser shall pay a premium on the hammer price. For regular taxation the premium is 20% plus statutory VAT added to the net price. Objects marked with # can be purchased under margin scheme with a premium of 28% (including statutory VAT).
Droit de suite
According to § 5 of our terms of auction works of art created after 1900 (amongst others prints, portfolio works, photo art and serigraphs) are subject to droit de suite and the resulting costs thereof.

Illustrations in the web may differ from the originals for technical reasons.
On approval
Shipments on approval cannot be made. For further information you can contact us anytime. Upon request we provide digital images (€ 3.00/unit).
Absentee order bids
Absentee order bids can be submitted directly in our web catalogue. You only have to register (go to explanation). Bids by telephone, fax and e-mail require written confirmation. The maximum bid given is without the buyer’s premium and VAT. Such bids will be executed at the lowest possible price taking into account the reserve price and other bids. Written bids have to come to our hands at least two days prior to the sale in order to guarantee proper execution.
Telephone bidding
Telephone bidding is possible on lots with a minimum estimate of € 2,000.00. Written confirmation 2 days prior sale requested. A member of staff will then call you at the time of the lot being called up. We also suggest that you leave a written security bid which we can execute on your behalf, just in case we are unable to reach you by telephone. Please note that we may require a valid identification document and eventually some valid references from the trade.

After the Auction
Auction results
Auction results can be found on our website on the day of sale after session has ended (afternoon and evening). List of prices realized will be published about two weeks after the sale and will be forwarded to everybody having paid for the printed catalogue.
Successful bids
For submitting and administrating your absentee bids kindly use our website. Then you will automatically receive notification of your successful bids after the sale. Invoicing takes approximately 4 weeks.
Payment
Payment requested in cash or as wire transfer. Bank details at the end of the printed catalogue or on the invoice. If foreign cheques are accepted, we will charge a bank fee of € 15.00 and property will not be released until such cheques have cleared.
Collection of purchased lots should be made within the first week following the sale and prior appointment in order to avoid storage charges. Collection during the sale is generally possible. In any case purchasers must ensure that prior payment has been made.
Shipment
Shipping instructions should be given in writing with your order bid. Shipping, handling and insurance are billed separately. We will do our best to deliver goods as soon as possible. Delivery of all goods usually takes approximately four weeks. We kindly ask for your understanding for any short delay. Framed Objects usually are shipped unframed. Great quantities and bulky items have to be collected. Upon written instruction we entrust a shipping company with packing and forwarding of such items.
Credit cards
Credit cards only accepted for catalogue payment (MasterCard or VISA).
The Terms of Auction of Reiss & Sohn are binding. Please read them carefully. The regulations for the purchase of consumer goods of the German law (§474 BGB) do not apply.
