Mouzon u.a. bei Le Rouge, Paris, 1777. Unten rechts französ. Titel und 3 Nebenkarten sowie kl. Grundriss, oben links ornament. Kartusche mit engl.-franz. Titel. Von 4 Platten gedruckt u. je 2 nebeneinander zusammengesetzt; Gesamtgröße ca. 98:138 cm.
Rare wall map. "Mouzon's map was used by both sides in the American Revolution, and it remained the principal source map of the area for the next 50 years" (S. 1394). French edition after Sayers & Bennett 1775 with the insets of Charlestown and Port Royal and in addition 2 of Fort Sullivan, furthermore showing "also names of numerous settlers in South Carolina". - 4 sheets, joined in 2. Contemp. col. in outline. Light browning and some spotting; old folds. Lower half: small tear and hole at lower margin affecting neatline; folded.
