Presumably third edition. 2 vols. with over 850 woodcuts in the text. - Well-preserved copy, only occasionally somewhat browned and foxed. Vol. 1 from p. 221 onwards with little marginal worming, only a few pages with minimal loss of letters there, vol. 2 with faint marginal waterstaining in places. The original leaf H12 (p. 191/192) present but with repaired tear and the corresponding cancel leaf bound in at the end of vol. 1. Contemporary full-calf spine gilt and with gilt title; rubbed, joints of vol. 1 slightly split at bottom, heads of spines somewhat chipped.

Stafleu-C. 1426; vgl. Pritzel 10768. – Wohl dritte Ausgabe. "Known as Le petite Bauhin" (St.-C.). Wird häufig auch unter J-B. (für spätere Ausg. auch N.) De Ville (Deville) geführt. Stafleu-C. dazu: "The De Ville's were the editors who abstracted the ... work from Bauhin's Pinax .... it is unlikely that they had a herbarium." Das verworfene Blatt H12 (S. 191/192) mit repariertem Einriss, das entsprechende Kartonblatt am Schluss von Bd. 1 eingebunden. Holzschnitt mit Darstellung der Weinrebe auf S. 560. - Wohlerhaltenes Exemplar, nur vereinzelt etwas gebräunt u. stockfleckig. Band 1 ab S. 221 mit Wurmspur im Fußsteg, dort nur einzelne Bll. mit minimalem Buchstabenverlust, Bd. 2 stellenw. im Rand gering wasserfleckig.
