L'Hermite's regional biographies of Italian families closely tied to the French crown, first printed in 1657. With engraved title, 51 engr. arms of Tuscan noble families and coat-of-arms of the author. - Light browning, heavier in places, waterstain to lower outer corners of pp. 149-153 (affecting text). Coat-of-arms on p. 88 with hole, corner tear-off to p. 269, small marginal tear to p. 511. Bound in full red morocco gilt, slightly rubbed, some glue staining to endpapers. With bookplate to front paste-down. Gilt supralibros of Louis-Philippe I of Orléans on both covers, and stamp of his library in Neuilly on printed title.

Cioranescu 43400 (Ausg. 1657). - Erstmals 1657 erschienene, genealogisch-heraldische Beschreibung berühmter, mit Frankreich verbundener Florentiner Familien, darunter die der Bandinelli, Barberini, Gondi, Medici u.v.a. - Leicht gebräunt, einige Lagen stärker; vereinzelt etwas fleckig, S. 149-152 in der unteren Außenecke etwas wasserfl. (bis in den Text); das Wappen auf S. 88 mit Fehlstelle (ca. 0,5:3 cm) im Plattenrand, S. 269 mit Eckabriss (ohne Textverlust) u. S. 511 mit kl. Randeinriss. Im vord. Innendeckel gest. Wappenexlibris von Balthasar-Henry de Fourcy (1669-1754). Beide Deckel mit dem Supralibros von Louis-Philippe I. von Orléans, der ab 1830 als letzter König von Frankreich regierte, und dem Stempel seiner Bibliothek in Neuilly auf dem Drucktitel.
