Titel u. 41 kol. doppelblattgr. Kupferkarten. Ohne Text. Hldr. d. Zt., stark beschabt u. bestoßen, Kapitale ausgerissen, Gelenke angebrochen.

With engraved double-page title and 41 engr. double-page maps, all col., also decorative borders. Including the rare and fine world map by Beaurain (with date 1763; Shirley, World 613, third state: "reveals a wealth of detail... The discoveries of Tchirikow and De L'Isle" are notified), and maps of Africa (3), America (4), Asia (6) and Europe (27). "As well as the 40 customary maps from Brion... the work also contains eight classical maps by Rigobert Bonne" (Sh. describing the copy in the British Library). - Some water staining to upper corners affecting image in places, the last 7 maps also with mildew spotting; engr. title with marginalia in ink at bottom. Bound in contemp. half calf, rubbed and worn, joints cracked, foot of spine with tear-off.

Shirley T.Brio-2a (Ex. mit 8 zusätzl. Ktn. von R. Bonne). - Mit der seltenen und schönen Weltkarte in 2 Hemisphären von Beaurain (dat. 1763; Shirley 613: dritter Zustand) sowie mit Länder- und Gebietskarten von Europa (27), Afrika (3), Amerika (4) und Asien (6). - Oberecken teilw. etwas wasserfleckig, die letzten 7 Karten dort auch sporenfleckig. Kupfertitel mit hs. Notiz unten im w. Rand.
