Second state of Bellin's new engraved plate with the addition "sur de nouvelles observations on a corrigé les Lacs, et leurs Environs, 1755" in the cartouche. "This is a larger plate and more accurate map than that of 1744" (Lowery 376). - Original col. in outline. Some browning and spotting, stronger to margins; water stain at lower right, light discolouration from paste at centerfold. Vertical fold at right.
