Replacement map by G. Sanson for the one published by his father in 1650, with several changes, e.g. California has an intended northern coast "in the Foxe form of 1635, often referred to as the second Sanson model. The R. de Nort or Hudson River is identified" (Burden). Only one further revised state was published by P. Moullart-Sanson dated 1690. - Contemporary col. in outline. Light spotting in places and some waterstaining at top, there some worming just affecting platemark.
