Gelenk repariert, Kapitale gering bestoßen.

Kircher's attempt to categorize all existing knowledge based on the "Ars magna" of Ramón Lull. - Provenance: from the library of the bibliophile Niels Foss with his gilt coat of arms and monogramm to spine. - Wide margined copy. Some foxing throughout. Bound (by Johann Boppenhausen?) in calf of the early 18th century, spine gilt, gilt and blindstamped filet borders to covers, marbled outer edges; somewhat rubbed and worn, minor staining, lower front joint repaired, very small chips to head and foot of spine. Lacking 1 engr. title, 1 engr. portrait, 2 engr. plates and 2 small volvelles.

Etwas stockfleckig, erste Lage gelockert. - Provenienz: Aus der Bibliothek des großen dänischen Bibliophilen Niels Foss (1650-1751, vgl. Bogeng I, 372), mit dessen goldgeprägtem Wappen im obersten Rückenfeld des typischen dänischen "Spiegeleinbandes". Der Einband wurde vermutlich von Johann Boppenhausen in Kopenhagen geschaffen, der viele Bücher für die Bibliothek von Foss gebunden hatte. - Breitrandiges Exemplar. Etwas stockfleckig. Fehlen der gest. Titel zu Tl. 1, 2 Kupfertafeln, 1 gest. Porträt u. 2 bewegliche Teile.
