First and dual language editions with the text in English and French. Classical colour-plate books on the Ottoman Empire and the Middle East with together 48 aquatints after Luigi Mayer in fine contemporary colouring. - Light browning or spotting in places, small repaired tears to 3 plates and 1 text leaf, some offsetting of printing to some plates and text leaves. A copy with wide margins, bound in contemp. half-calf, somewhat worn and rubbed, joints and hinges somewhat cracked, edges restored and 1 renewed.

Die prachtvollen kolorierten Tafeln mit Ansichten von Landschaften und Bauwerken mit romantischer Staffage sowie Trachten.
