It covers the regions most affected by the Revolution between the greater part of the Great Lakes, Gulf of St. Lawrence and St. Augustin in Florida, giving numerous topographical details. The large inset map at right depicting the East coast between Boston and Delaware Bay, New York at center. "As the inset in this map indicates, by 1779 the scene of action was moving south" (McC.). - Original col. in outline.
